Angie,
I think you should check out The China Study. It takes a purely scientific approach to several concepts including the impact of animal protein on the body and the relationship it has with cancer. It has had a pretty immediate impact on my diet.

I’ve heard about it – and I keep hearing it touted at “the most comprehensive study on the benefits of a vegan diet.” I’m actually shocked that I haven’t read it yet myself! It’s definitely on my radar, but I’m glad you recommended it because this reminded me that I need to get a copy!

For me, The China Study was a life-changing book. I highly recommend it. (I’m a former librarian and I read a lot).
